Circolo della Vela di Roma was founded in 1949 in Anzio.
The Club has a long tradition in Finn sailing and is honored hosting the 2019 Finn Silver Cup.
Anzio hosted Finn Gold Cup in 1972 and 1984, European Championships in 1991 and several Italian Championships.
The Club has the following facilities:
- launching ramps
- Space to accommodate more than 100 boats
- Parking for cars and trailers
- Changing rooms and showers
- Free wifi
- Restaurant
- Big terrace and saloons for recreation and resting
- Guesthouse
Our Club is very oriented to youth activity.
Last year we had more than 1,400 affiliated members, mostly under 18 years old.
Our Optimist team is one of the best in Italy.
In the last 3 years we had 3 different young sailors on the podium at the Lake Garda Easter meeting for the Optimist class.
In 2017 our girls won the Optimist Italian championship in categories Junior and “Cadetti”.
